Mimosa Extension Ribbon Cutting Ceremony!

The City of Roswell Mayor and Council and Transportation Department will hold a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on June
18 at 5 p.m. to officially open the Mimosa extension to Webb Street. The project includes 22 feet of travel lanes with on-street parking, curb, gutter, and brick sidewalks, PLUS improvements
to an existing city-owned parking lot.

The extension of Mimosa Boulevard allows a parallel route to Canton Street which will alleviate traffic as well as provide additional parking for shopping and special events in the area.

The project will also improve the circulation and parking for the Canton Street District and relieve traffic congestion in the area.  The contract was awarded to Ace Grading for $459,191.80 and completed earlier than expected.

The ribbon cutting ceremony is open to the public.  Attendees will meet behind the Wachovia bank on Magnolia Street.
